The summer heat was radiating off of the double glazed windows, smoke practically forming off of the plastic Frisbees and hula hoops. Decorated with care, the beach house was on a secluded part of the beach and was covered with floats, towels and benches. The barbeques grizzled, roasting the meat with a tinge of charcoal and a juicy, medium rare tint to the steaks.

The Doctor rested his body on the deck chair uncomfortably, his eyes glancing over at his once companion, ____. He met her three years ago in England, her body crumpled on the floor outside a strip club as she told him she was homeless and had to work for money. He took her in for a year before finding her a father, the billionaire Tony Stark. At first the Doctor was surprised that the egotistic man would take in a girl he'd only known for three minutes, but the girl needed family. The pair hit it off quicker than expected, their bold attitudes and love for anything under 'mechanics and science'. But times changed, she'd grown up from a teen to a young woman, she didn't need him anymore.Her mind had been set straight and she was always studying for new techniques. Little did he know that she was the one thing she craved.

From when he returned from his 'vacation', he was speechless and couldn't let out the words to describe his feelings and spill his excuses along with apologies. Another person he'd ruined, great.

Swelling, the sun began to cool into a colder evening. The super heroes continued to splash around in the water and giggled continuously, whilst ____ Stark sat on the edge of her seat, eyes alarmed at the crashing waves. Her bikini was bone dry and still the same crimson as she'd once worn to the swimming pool. Her sweater was clenched to her chest and the purple arc reactor in her chest illuminated softly, contouring the highlights on her beautiful face. The main reason for your arc reactor was you were dying of a heart disease and he'd saved you.
Gingerly, the Doctor approached you with care, unaware of you emotions and physical pain.
"I fight aliens, battle war villains and yet I can't swim, wow." She sighed, raking a hand through her hair.
"I could teach you..." He pursed, smiling slightly.
"And then leave me again?" She groaned bluntly, a harsh tone in her voice.
Backing away, the Doctor sighed in defeat, very aware he couldn't convince you to love him like you once did. All the adventures and beautiful moments and the times he thought he'd loose you finally added up to something that meant a lot to him.

"Wait!"

"Y-Yeah ___?"

"Don't go, I didn't mean it, okay? I don't want you to go again, that hurt...too much. Stay...s-stay with me."

"Then what?"

"I'll finally forgive you."

Quickly, she grabbed his shoulders and pushed her lips to his in a burst of enlightenment, excitement and complete confusion. A blush forced onto their cheeks, eyes clenched shut and tears rolling. The emotional pain teased them long enough and now they were free from it's wrath.

Eventually pulling away for air, the two smiled gently at each other. ____ placed her hand into his and they rushed into the water and she squealed. Without warning, he span her around and picked her up in a cliché romance movie position, bridal style. Giggling, she fell into the salty waters and let it cleanse her sand covered skin.
